Ionian Fantasy Cruise - Our island Hopping Ionian Adventure
12 cabin traditional motor sailer
Our island Hopping Ionian adventure on a comfortable, traditional wooden-hulled motor sailer focuses on the place where modern-day island-hopping all started back in the 1960’s and 70’s – the Ionian Islands. It’s the chain of islands hugging the western Greek mainland, with a huge diversity of history and culture ranging from well known islands like Corfu, Paxos and Lefkas to stunningly picturesque Parga and some small off-the-beaten track places you probably never heard of like Meganissi and Atokos. You can choose to walk barefoot in the sands, cycle up a hill and watch the sunset into Homer’s wine dark Ionian Sea, enjoy octopus and ouzo in a fisherman’s taverna or party the night away in a cosmopolitan music bar. Our Ionian itineraries run weekly from Corfu, embarking every Monday. If you want we can book hotel stays at either end and flights too.
This cruise suits all age groups and also couples as well as single travellers.
Don’t miss…
The old town of Corfu and the Venetian Fortress
The Byzantyne-Venetian Castle with amazing views at Parga
The stunning turquoise water and golden sands of Antipaxos
The traditional charm of Meganissi
Atmospheric Gaios harbour on the island of Paxos
Day By Day Itineray
Corfu Town
This is our start and finish point and arguably the most famous of the Ionian islands, with its atmospheric old town in the shadow of the two Venetian Fortresses. The interior and coast of Corfu are stunningly beautiful and well worth exploring pre or post cruise.
Syvota Bay
Our first swim stop in a lovely spot between two islets off the mainland coast, we then navigate the Lefkas Canal with a stop at Lefkas Town
Meganissi
Whilst long discovered by yachtsmen, this lovely little island offers stunning walks and an atmospheric waterfront with traditional tavernas and bars
Nydri & Atokos
We call in at the lively harbour town of Nydri on the island of Lefkas, before heading for the privately owned Atokos island for a night under the stars
Parga
This coastal resort town is in a wonderful setting, dominated by an imposing fortress well worth the climb for the unforgettable views and sunset. The town has a great choice of tavernas and bars and a lively nightlife.
Antipaxos and Paxos
Uninhabited Paxos offers crystal clear turquoise waters and a great beach, served by a solitary seasonal beach bar. We continue to the main harbour on Paxos island, Gaios which retains its traditional charm yet offers plenty of choice for a pleasant evening ashore
Corfu
We return to Corfu with time for a swim stop en route before our farewell dinner on board. Disembarkation is after breakfast. We recommend you explore the old town and fortress, though the many delights of the island easily warrant another week ashore.
